Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports

The City of Nixa Finance Department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 by the Government Finance Officers Association. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The City of Nixa 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 annual reports have been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the annual reports.

Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has given an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting to The City of Nixa for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2020. The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for the preparation of state and local government popular reports. In order to receive an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting, a government unit must publish a Popular Annual Financial Report, whose contents conform to program standards of creativity, presentation, understandability, and reader appeal. An Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting is valid for a period of one year only.
