Letter from the Mayor: March 2024

February 28, 2024

As we eagerly anticipate the arrival of spring, I am filled with energy and optimism for the opportunities that lie ahead. Springtime in Nixa brings with it the promise of growth, rejuvenation, and the chance to come together as a community to shape the future of our city.

As I write this month’s letter I am in Washington D.C. where I have been meeting with legislators to advocate for the needs of our citizens and our city. I take pride in the work that I put in for our community and it brings me great joy to see so many citizens in Nixa doing the same by donating their time to make Nixa a better place.

I want to take this opportunity to emphasize the importance of community involvement and the value of your input in guiding the direction of our city. Nixa thrives when its residents are actively engaged in civic life, sharing their ideas, concerns, and aspirations for our community.

Each one of you plays a vital role in the continued success and prosperity of Nixa. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to our city, your voice matters, and your perspective is invaluable in shaping the decisions that impact our collective future.

As we embrace the spirit of springtime, I encourage you to take an active role in our community by participating in local events, attending city council meetings, and volunteering for initiatives that align with your interests and passions. Your involvement not only strengthens the bonds that unite us but also ensures that Nixa remains a vibrant and inclusive place to live, work, and play.

I also want to reassure you that your city government is here to listen and respond to your needs. My door is always open, and I welcome your input and feedback on how we can continue to make Nixa the best it can be.

Together, let’s embrace the opportunities that spring brings and work hand in hand to build a brighter future for Nixa. Thank you for your continued support, dedication, and commitment to our wonderful community.

Sincerely,

Mayor Jarad Giddens
