New Traffic Pattern at U.S. Route 160 & Christian County Route CC

When: 8 p.m. Monday Night, July 29th

Details: Contractor crews to turn on new signals and open new Continuous Flow Intersection at U.S. Route 160 and Christian County Route CC in Nixa. A Continuous Flow Intersection has traffic turning left placed to the left of oncoming traffic, opposite where it is normally. This removes the conflict between on-coming traffic and traffic turning left. Vehicles turning left access the lane a few hundred feet in front of the intersection. Click here to learn more about Continuous Flow intersections and watch a video showing how the intersection will function. This is part of the Route 160 Intersection Improvements Project.

Traffic Impacts:

  • New traffic pattern at Route 160 and Route CC in Nixa
  • Route 60 to Route CC dual left-turn traffic is placed left of oncoming traffic. Vehicles turning left will access the new lane a few hundred feet in front of the intersection.
  • Westbound Route CC will use the new lane to merge onto Route 160
  • Southbound Route 160 U-turn to northbound Route 160 will be farther south of dual left-turn lanes

MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT:
Traffic Shift at Christian County Route AA and U.S. Route 160 In Nixa
Where: Traffic Shifts at Christian County Route AA/Outer Road 160 and U.S. Route 160 and in Nixa
When: Beginning the week of October 30, for up to 10 months
What: Crews are working on Route 160 bridge and Route 160/Route AA intersection and as part of the Route 160 Intersection Improvements Project. Traffic patterns at Route AA will change after this phase is complete.
Traffic Impacts:
– Right-in/Right-out at Route AA to southbound Route 160 in Nixa
– Right-in/Right-out at Outer Road 160 to northbound Route 160
– Route 160 median Closed at Route AA/Outer Road 160
– Route 160 OPEN
– No signed detours, drivers are urged to find alternate routes
– Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zone

Route CC Closure Oct. 13-16

Christian County Route CC closed at U.S. Route 160 In Nixa

Where: Christian County Route CC closed at U.S. Route 160 In Nixa

When: 8 p.m. Friday, October 13 until 6 a.m. Monday, October 16

What: Crews are working on the road as part of the Route 160 Intersection Improvements Project.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Route CC CLOSED at Route 160 In Nixa
  • Route 160 OPEN
  • Drivers will be able to get to driveways and entrances using Route CC east of the Closure, but will not be able to travel through the work zone to Route 160
  • No signed detours, drivers are urged to find alternate routes
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
