Mosquito Fogging Starts Now!

The City of Nixa has begun its annual mosquito fogging program to help reduce the mosquito population during the summer months! Fogging operations started the first week of June and will continue throughout the season.

City trucks will operate Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Weather conditions play an important role in the ability to fog effectively. Spraying cannot take place during rain or when wind speeds exceed 12 miles per hour.

Residents are also encouraged to take preventative measures at home! Eliminating standing water in yards, birdbaths, and other containers can significantly reduce mosquito breeding grounds.

By working together, the community can help create a more comfortable and enjoyable summer environment for everyone!
