Letter from the Mayor: May 2025
May 1, 2025
Dear Nixa Citizens,
As May arrives with its promise of renewal and growth, our community celebrates one of its most cherished traditions—high school graduation. This month, a remarkable group of young adults from Nixa High School will walk across that stage, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of many new adventures.
To our Class of 2025: Congratulations on this tremendous achievement! Your dedication to learning, perseverance through challenges, and commitment to growth have brought you to this milestone. Each of you has contributed something unique to our school and community, and we are incredibly proud of the individuals you’ve become.
To the parents and families: Your unwavering support deserves special recognition. From early morning drop-offs to late-night project assistance, from cheering on the sidelines to providing quiet encouragement during difficult times—your dedication has been essential to your student’s success. The financial sacrifices, countless hours spent driving to activities, and emotional support you’ve provided have helped shape these graduates into the capable young adults they are today.
This year’s graduation holds special significance for me personally, as my oldest daughter joins the Class of 2025. Having watched many of these students grow up alongside her, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing their journey from childhood to adulthood. Their resilience, especially throughout their high school years, gives me great confidence in our community’s future.
As we celebrate this milestone together, let us remember that education is truly a community effort. The success of our students reflects the strength of our community, the dedication of our educators, and the supportive environment we’ve created together in Nixa.
To all graduates: while this ceremony marks the completion of your K-12 education, it represents just one of many accomplishments you’ll achieve throughout your lives. Wherever your paths may lead, know that your hometown celebrates you and believes in your potential.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
