If your calendar looks anything like mine right now, you’re running in about six directions at once. School is back in session, and with it comes practices, games, club meetings, homework, work schedules, and everything in between. Fall in Nixa is a busy season, and our families feel it.

That busyness is exactly why we’ve made the customer experience at City Hall such a priority. When your time is stretched thin, the last thing you need is to drive to different buildings to handle two pieces of city business. So we set out to get our services under one roof.

This month, we cut the ribbon on our newly remodeled City Hall. We added office space to support our growing city, and we brought our Utility Billing Department over so you can take care of more in a single stop. We’ve also installed utility payment kiosks at City Hall, the library, and the Community Center, giving you more places and more hours to pay your bill on your schedule instead of ours. We also increased the size of Council Chambers by making the lobby smaller to accommodate larger attended city council meetings. And we’re not done — we’re continuing to look for new ways to make working with your city simple and convenient.

I want to thank everyone who helped and supported us through this remodel. A special thank you goes to the citizens of Nixa for your patience and understanding while we were under construction. Detours and temporary inconveniences are never fun, and you handled it all with the kind of grace that makes this community what it is.

As we move further into fall, I’d encourage you to follow the City of Nixa pages, the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce, and Nixa Public Schools on social media. Between them, you’ll find upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and plenty of ways to stay involved and see all the amazing things happening here.
