Letter from the Mayor: October 2025

October 1, 2025

Dear Nixa Community,

As October arrives and we transition into fall, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some exciting happenings in our city.

First, thank you to everyone who attended our Multicultural Festival! While Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with the weather, the warmth and enthusiasm of our community more than made up for it. It was wonderful visiting with so many of you and learning about the diverse cultures that make Nixa the special place it is. Events like these remind us that our strength lies in our unity and our appreciation for one another.

I also want to express my gratitude to everyone who joined us for the groundbreaking of our new police department facility. The turnout was tremendous, and your support means everything to our officers and staff. This project represents a much-needed upgrade and underscores our continued commitment to public safety. Investing in our police department isn’t just about buildings—it’s about ensuring our officers have the tools and resources they need to serve and protect our community effectively.

The amazing community support we see at events like these creates a ripple effect throughout Nixa. Businesses are watching, and they want to be part of communities that support each other, their local economy, and their neighbors. This is one reason you’re seeing exciting announcements about new businesses choosing Nixa. 7Brew and QDOBA are preparing to start construction here soon, with more announcements on the way.

Thank you for being the kind of community that makes Nixa a place where people want to live, work, and do business.

Sincerely,
Mayor Jarad Giddens
