Employee Spotlight: Noel Young

Officer Noel Young has worked for the City of Nixa for 14 months and is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. Prior to coming to Nixa, Noel spent seven years working for the Greene County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol officer and a detention officer. A few of Noel’s everyday duties here at the Nixa Police Department include reviewing reports, interviewing suspects, preparing cases for prosecution, and working with children and adult victims of criminal activity. Aside from her normal tasks, Noel is also one of our certified Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officers. This means she has been trained to improve interaction between law enforcement and people with mental illness, helping to prevent the inappropriate restraint and incarceration of people with mental illness.
