Employee Spotlight: Dustin Long

Dustin Long has been with the Nixa water department for seven years. He started out as a utility worker and worked his way up to lead water operator. Dustin has experience repairing just about every type of water and sewer line in our system. He has also run all pieces of equipment in the water department and makes sure that we are in compliance with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ standards. Dustin was a member of the Nixa Hydrant Hysteria team that took first place at the Missouri Rural Water Association show in 2020, winning the timed race for assembling fire hydrants. When he’s not at work, Dustin enjoys hunting and working with race cars and dune buggies. Thank you for your hard work, Dustin!
