Nixa City Hall is undergoing renovations to address customer service, security, staff capacity, and event opportunities. The renovations will:

  • Move Utility Billing staff & functions from its existing building into City Hall at the westmost entrance.
  • Move Front Reception from the Council Chambers Entrance to the second eastmost entrance.
  • Update security measures within City Hall.
  • Expand Council Chambers to provide more flexibility with the space.
  • Add additional office space to address staff capacity and expansion needs.

Sheet Rock Added

Phase 1 moves forward quickly as new areas get sheetrock.

Framing

Areas have been framed to accommodate new offices and areas as designed.

Sprayfoam Insulation

Hambey Construction has added spray foam insulation to the old portion of the building, constructed in the early 1990’s, which should provide much needed improvements while also improving efficiency.

Construction Update

Crews have been demolishing areas within Phase 1 (Old Court Area, Finance Offices, Communications Offices,  and Human Resources Offices) to prepare for remodel work.

Council Approval

Council has approved a contract with Hambey Construction not to exceed $2.2 million in the remodel of City Hall
