The existing wastewater treatment facility consists of oxidation ditches, tertiary filters, biological-chemical phosphorous removal, ultraviolet disinfection, sludge holding tanks, sludge dewatering and sludge composting.
The average daily flow from the treatment facility is 1,334,000 gallons per day. The treatment facility has a design capacity of0 4,00,000 gallons per day. There are a few houses within the City limits not connected to the sewer collection system. All new development is required to connect to the sewer collection system.
