How to Apply for a Nixa Business License with Liquor Sales:
Step 1: Business License with Liquor Sales Application
Please complete the Business License with Liquor Sales Application for the business, corporation, partnership, Limited Liability Company, limited liability partnership, professional corporation, sole proprietorship, association of person, etc. The fee for a new business license with liquor sales is dependent upon what type of liquor/package sales you will be doing. The business license with Liquor Sales will be good through December 31st of the application year. Please see Step 6 below for information on the business license with liquor sales renewal process. You are required to provide a copy of your Missouri Liquor License along with your application. This document can be obtained through the Missouri Department of Alcohol & Tobacco Control. We must have this document for your application to be considered complete.

Also, if your business conducts any kind of retail sales you are required to provide two documents along with your application:
- a Retail Sales License and
- a No Tax Due Letter
Both of these documents can be obtained through the Missouri Department of Revenue. We must have both for your application to be considered complete.

Step 2: Department of Compliance
The business license application includes information for the Department of Compliance. This will be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Director to verify your business is in a properly zoned area.
Step 3: 911 Emergency Information
The business license application includes information for the Nixa Police Department to keep on file for emergency situations.
Step 4: Business License Affidavit
Read, complete, and sign a Business License Affidavit document stating you have read and understand the 2008 State Statute 285.530. You must attach a copy of this affidavit to your application in order for it to be considered complete.
Step 5: Review Process
Once your completed business license application is turned in, the review process is about 5-7 business days. Once the review process is completed and approved, you will be mailed your business license.
Step 6: Renewals
All business licenses must be renewed each year by January 2nd. The renewal fee is $25.00. We will send out renewal information the 1st of December. If not paid by March 31st, the license will be considered delinquent and a $10.00 late fee will be assessed.
Step 7: Commercial Location Permits
If the business will be operating inside a commercial location, you will also need to apply for an Infill Permit with the Nixa Planning & Zoning Department. Your business license will not be issued until you have your Certificate of Occupancy permit from their department. - Resort with/without Sunday Sales = $500.00 + business license fees
- % beer with/without Sunday Sales = $125.00 + business license fees
- 3.2% beer with/without Sunday Sales = $87.50 + business license fees
- Original Package Retail with Sunday Sales = $500.00 + business license fees
- Original Package Retail without Sunday Sales = $200.00 + business license fees
- Infill Permit without changes = $60.00
- Infill Permit with changes = dependent upon the changes being made to the building
