Cherry Street Stormwater

This project is designed to fix flooding problems through an old area of town from North St. south to John Thomas School of Discovery (JTSD). It includes adding pipes, storm boxes, and area inlets to alleviate flooding during large rain events. In 2023, intended to start on the south end at JTSD north to approximately Cherry St.

Phase 1 and 2 of the project are complete which includes new larger stormwater pipe and materials from the south end of the project at Rice Street, north to the west side of Market Street, and construction to extend the stormwater piping north several hundred feet.
