Selection Process OutlineThe testing and selection procedure includes the following elements (in the sequence listed): a physical agility test, written exam, background investigation, oral interview and a pre-employment drug screen. As of February 1, 2008 , the physical agility tests are no longer scored as Pass/Fail. All applicants will complete each element of the testing procedure and receive a score based upon their performance. An overall composite score of 40 points must be achieved in the physical agility tests to move on to the next element of the selection process. The physical agility test will consist of the following events with a total maximum score of 50 points: Push ups: no time limit Sit ups: no time limit Vertical jump 300 meter run 1.5 mile run
