Nixa Parks

Nixa City Park

Nixa City Rotary Park, the original park, is located at the 500 block of Fort Ave, behind the Super 8 Motel. Directions: From Hwy. 160, take Wasson Dr. east, left on McCroskey, left on Fort Ave.

A group of citizens, The Nixa Community Club, decided Nixa needed a park. A committee headed by Clarence, Ray, and Leo Middleton collected donations, purchased the land; and on June 5, 1961 donated the property to the City to be used as a public park.

The Nixa City Park has

3 lighted baseball/softball fields. There is one adult field and 2 youth fields. The adult field has a removable mound and adjustable base distance

McCauley Park

McCauley Park is a 40-acre park located off of North St. on Taylor Way. Amenities at the park include:

• A Community center (The Center)
  with full size gym, a walking track, St. John's Fitness Center, daycare, three classrooms and community wing. The community wing has three full size meeting rooms capable of accommondating up to 150 people.
• Outdoor Pool
• Playground
• Pavillion
• 3 Soccer Fields
• 18-hole disc golf
• St. John's Fitness Center is located on the second floor of the center.
  
• Directions: Main St. to North St. East on North St. to Taylor Way.

Facility Rentals: The Community Wing rooms are available for rent. Room rental reservations are accepted Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. We have rooms to accommodate groups of 25, 44, 60 or 150:

• James, Finley Rooms: Max. seating of 25. Rate: $15.00 per hour

• Mississippi, Misouri Rooms: Max. seating of 44. Rate: $25.00 per hour

• The Osage: Max. seating of 60. Rate: $35.00 per hour.

• The Community Wing (includes, Mississippi, Missouri and Osage rooms): Half day: Rate is $250.00 Full Day is $350.00

• Parties at the Center, Aquatics, Lock-Ins, etc. Let us help host your next party. Call 725-5486 for complete details.

Open Gym: Open gym times are set aside each week, depending on gym availability. Every effort will be made to provide a balance between Open Gym time and scheduled programs and rentals. The gym may be rented: 1/4 gym is $8.00 per hour; 1/2 gym is $15.00 per hour; and full gym is $25.00 per hour. Call ahead for availability.

Indoor Waking/Running Track: Second floor of Center
