Clayton Hines
Clayton Hines is an engineer with Shaffer
Hines Engineering firm in Nixa. He has been arried for 14 years and has 2 children. Mr.
Hines received his B.S. in Civil Engineering
from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He
worked for Day, Inc. in Nixa for 9 months
before going to work for Shaffer & Associates
in 1995. Mr. Hines became a partner with Shaffer & Hines, Inc. in
2003. He has worked on many projects in Nixa becoming familiar with
the workings of Nixa City Government. He has always had an interest
in government and politics and is very interested in becoming a Home
Rule Commissioner.“I view this as an opportunity for the community to establish a local
government with more local control than is allowed under our current
Fourth Class City designation. I want this to be an opportunity to structure
our local government to meet today’s needs and give the citizens
more flexibility to make changes to the charter in the future.”
