The City of Nixa and Allied Waste have joined to provide the following services

Senior Citizen Bag Service (65 & older)

- By subscription only. Contact City Utilities at 725-3229 to request form. Pending completion and approval, call 725-3229 to order bags.
- Bags are rolls of 15 and include ties. Bag delivery day is Friday. A minimum of 2(two) bags per month is required to utilize this service.Only Allied Waste bags will be accepted for this type of service.
- The City of Nixa and Allied Waste have the right to cancel the Senior Bag Service at any time that the above rules are not followed.

Curbside Recycling (optional)

- This is a subscription service in which the resident will be provided a cart with wheels. Recycling carts will have GREY lids. These carts will be serviced every other week.

Trash must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on pickup day. Call 725-3229 for your pickup day. Yard waste will not be accepted at the curb.

Additional Services

- Spring Clean-up will be May 15, 2010. This is the Saturday following the City-Wide garage sale. For scheduling, contact the Park Department at 725-5486
- Allied Waste will remove one large (bulky) item per month, i.e. couch, chair, end table, etc. at no additional fee. Removal will be on regular service day and must be at the curb. White goods excluded.
- White goods can be dropped off at the Nixa recycling center. Please place appliance in designated container. CFC'S MUST BE REMOVED PRIOR TO DELIVERY.
- Please tour the Recycling Center at 1093 Eaglecrest for other recyclable materials including yard waste.
